The Best Fantasy Authors Have Beards!

Here's the proof in case you don't believe me.

We have the usual suspects(left and Right). George RR Martin of A Song of Ice and Fire and Robert Jordan of The Wheel of Time. Both are Great authors and wear there beards with dignity befitting there place as the kings of the genre. In the middle we have the new contender Patrick Rothfuss of the Kingkiller Chronicle. With a bit of refinement and experience we are sure his beard will improve.

Not wanting to appear sexiest I also dug up these photos of the great female authors.

As you can see from these exclusive photos, J V Jones(the hottest fantasy author) of the Sword of Shadows series and Robin Hobb of Farseer fame both sport great beards after a long day at the keyboard.

There are of course exceptions to the beard rule and the following is an example of a beard gone wrong.

Take note Mr Weeks, Abercrombie and Brett, an overly manicured beard will stifle your creativity. Let the beard grow free!

Glad you enjoyed. J V Jones mentioned it on her twitter account aswell which is a bit of a worry...luck I added the bit about her being hot.

Added Joe to the list of bearded authors.

robert jordan the best writer ?
Patrick Rothfuss the best writer ?

my friend , you have lost all credibility.

i would agree if you said this on martin (despite known rants).
but on RJ and rothfuss ?

to someone like me it sounds like you like a fantaic fan (the usual spite for goodkind rears it's head).

I had credibility to loose?

i don't know, you tell me, do you take pride in your honesty ?

when i go to websites like this, i read and like/dislike , but i very rarely agree with the post itself as being worthy of being posted.

i read better thiings from you in the past.

I think you are taking the post too serious and literal. It's meant to be funny. Though i'm sure you are not the only one to find it lame:)

sorry, maybe i was a little too harsh, i'm just going into this state of red mist when i see those 3 (of course after his passing i took RJ off that list).
